My item arrived damaged, or an incorrect item was delivered.
We want to reassure you that all our products leave our warehouse in perfect condition. If an item is delivered with dents or superficial creases on the box packaging, we consider it perfectly usable.Â
However, in extremely rare cases, if the inside silver packaging or the can is punctured, we consider this unacceptable damage and will work with you to resolve the issue. Please get in touch with our customer service at info@littleformula.com or use our contact form if your item has been delivered in an unusable condition.Â

Yes, it should be boiled to ensure that the water is safe to use. Allow the water to cool to the recommended temperature before preparing the formula. For detailed preparation steps, always refer to the instructions for the formula you use.
Does the formula come with a scoop?
To ensure correct proportions, every one of our formulas comes with a manufacturer-provided scoop. Please only use the provided measuring spoon to dose in the proper quantities, ensuring your baby always receives the appropriate nutrients.
How do I read a formula's expiration date?
All our food products display an expiration date on the packaging. Please note that all expiration dates on our products use the European date format of DD/MM/YYYY instead of the American MM/DD/YYYY format.Â
What does European Organic mean?
The EU has a more comprehensive and regulated organic label certification process than the US. In the United States, “organic baby formula” can contain processed sugars, corn syrup, and synthetic preservatives while still being labeled as organic. However, such products would not gain EU organic certification. European organic baby formula only uses authentic nutrients from natural sources, free from GMOs, pesticides, hormones, and artificial preservatives. European organic baby formulas are thus rightly considered superior to US American formulas.
Are the nutritional facts on the product in English?
Our products are primarily produced for the German market, so the nutritional facts are in German. Only Holle fruit pouches have nutritional information in both English and German. But don’t worry, you can find all the nutritional information in English, including the ingredients and allergens list, on our product pages.
What are probiotics?
Probiotics are considered to be “good” bacteria that naturally reside in the digestive tract. When you add probiotics to your baby’s diet, you encourage the growth of healthy gut flora. Additionally, it can help alleviate and prevent conditions like constipation. There are many different strains of probiotics, such as Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus, which are all part of a healthy baby’s microbiome. Probiotics have numerous beneficial effects, including improved immune response, reduced colic, and prevention of eczema.
Tipp: If you’re looking for probiotics in a product’s ingredients list, watch for the terms Lactobacillus or Bifidobacterium.
What are prebiotics?
Prebiotics are a type of dietary fiber that stimulates the growth of good bacteria (lactobacilli) in your gut. Baby formula mainly contains galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) obtained from lactose. As GOS are naturally present in breast milk, they are well-tolerated and can help soften stool, similar to that of breastfed infants. GOS have several benefits, such as promoting the growth of lactobacilli in your gut, which can improve digestion and boost immunity.
Why are omega-3 and omega-6 so important for babies?
Humans obtain essential fatty acids, such as omega-3 and omega-6, from foods since the body cannot produce them. Among these fatty acids, DHA and ARA are especially crucial for the normal development of the brain, nervous system, sensory organs (especially the retina), and intelligence. Simply put, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids are vital for your baby’s normal cognitive development.
What stage is suitable for my little one?
European formulas come in 4 Stages:
Stage Pre is for babies from birth-6 months.Â
Stage 1Â is suitable from 0-6 months.Â
Stage 2Â is suitable for 6+ months.
Stage 3Â is tailored to the needs of 10+ months-old babies.Â
Stage 4Â is made for 12 months and older.Â
Special formulas relieve spit-up, reflux, and bloating and are suitable for all stages.
What's the difference between PRE and Stage 1 formulas?
Both stages are suitable for infants from birth to 6 months.
The main difference between Pre and Stage 1 formulas is that Pre formulas only contain milk sugar (lactose) – just like breast milk. Stage 1 formulas also contain other easily digestible carbohydrates, like starch or maltodextrin. This way, the texture is creamier, and the baby stays full for longer.
When should you change from Stage 1/ PRE to Stage 2?
Parents typically transition from Stage 1/ PRE to Stage 2 formulas when their baby is around 6 months old. While the taste and texture of Stage 2 formula are similar to Stage 1, the main difference is that Stage 2 formulas contain higher levels of nutrients needed for growing babies. For instance, many Stage 2 formulas have increased levels of omega-3 and iron.
If you supplement your baby’s diet with solid foods, it is generally fine to continue using Stage 1 or a Stage PRE formula for a longer period. However, it’s best to consult your pediatrician for personalized advice regarding your baby’s diet.
